#ThimmannaDandanayaka, who ruled #nagamangala in the #14th_century (1446 to 1465 AD), apparently had an affair with a courtesan who lived on a hill a short distance from the town. A large lake was built in her name and named #'Sulekere'. The public lake is still quenching the thirst of water. Sulemantapa is also near this lake. Now it is a nature reserve. It is also a meeting place of poets and writers.
