Channarayana Durga Fort is a historic hill fort located near Madhugiri in Tumkur district, Karnataka. Originally built by Immadi chikka bhoopala a local ruler, in the 17th century, the fort has witnessed battles between the Marathas, Mysore Wodeyars, and the British. Its strategic location made it an important military outpost, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The fort features ancient structures, temples, and ruins, showcatary architecture and natural defense. Visitors can explore watchtowers, gateways, and stone steps, making it a fascinating trekking destination. The ascent is moderately challenging, taking around 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the summit.
